MPS Fathers Day Challenge

Here is my masculine card for my brothers birthday - who is a father too :) I got him a Lowes gift card - so it seemed pretty fitting. I used the Everyday Paper Dolls for the tool cuts. I thought it was awesome and very boy :)

Color Challenge at Kwernerdesign

I am just getting started on the challenges - so I thought this was an easy one to do. It is a color challenge. I have so many great pictures of my kids with great vibrant pictures - I wanted to try and use one with them in it. The soft background with those bright juicy colors - they look so yummy! Not to mention the subject is beautiful :)

Thanks to Kwernerdesign for the opportunitiy to do the challenge

mps #4 teacher appreciation

Here is a thank you to my youngest son's daycare - we had them step up and take him only one day a week - totally helped us out - they deserve a lot more than just a thank you card.

The apple is from Doodlecharms and the thank you is from Storybook

MPS #6 - Kids too

My Niece's birthday is coming up so I thought it was a great time to make the card and get it done :)

She is having a princess theme birthday - so I thought this card was fitting. It is cut from Sweet Treats.

My challenge for myself

OK - so after doing the My Pink Stamper challenge - I feel motivated! I am going to give myself a challenge. I am more likely to do something if I put it out there - so this is me putting it out there. I want to try to use all of the cuts on one cartridge. We will start with one - and go from there.

So my challenge to me - is take a cart....let's see - what one.......Let's start with Sweet Treats. I want to do every cut and make something out of it. Let the creativity start :)

WOW

That was a lot of posts in a little time!

I still have two more challenges to do hopefully by tonight. The #6 and #7 - With/For a child and the Teacher one from MPS.

This is the first time I ever did a challenge - I was skeptical at first - but I am hooked. It pushes you a little. Sometimes I will get down the the craft room and I get so overwhelmed by all the possibilities - I just stare for a while. And with three kids under 4 my time is limited.

One thing for all those that are busy and think you don't have time. What I did that was SO helpful was print out all the "cheat sheets" from cricut.com of the carts I have - put them in a binder - with tabs for each cart. And I have a notebook with sketches. I will "design" my card before I go down. I have the cuts and sizes that I want to do. So when I go down - I can be super productive in the short windows that I have. I got 10 cards done in no time that way.

Hopefully my oldest and I can get some scrapping time tonight and get those last two done before the deadline!

MPS Challenge #12 - Critter

I really want the create a critter cart. Every time I see those cute little critters I get all giggly!!! Looking through my carts I thought the turtle was cute. I like how it turned out. This little guy was from.....I think Walk in my Garden again.

MPS Challenge - #11 - Rainbow

All the color's of the rainbow. I thought this came out nice - and was also Springy. This is from Walk in my Garden. I am not normally a big layer person - but it came out really good. I used two different embossing folders too to add some texture.

MPS Challenge 10 - Spring

I thought this was pretty cute - Right now I can't remember the cut - I think it is from......New Arrivals - or Walk in the Garden - I will have to go back and look - it was cute though! I may go back and change the stamp on the bottom - cover it with a solid piece and stamp "Spring" again on it.

MPS Challenge #9 - Shaped Card

There was a birthday coming up for a co-worker - and I needed to make a card anyways. I really love how it turned out. I wasn't planning on it being a shaped card - but it is SUPER cute- I will probably make more of these. This cut is from Sweet Treats.

MPS Challenge 8 - Mono

I went with Blue as my monochromatic color. I think it came out really cute and vintage. I used both cuts from Sentimentals.

MPS Challenge #7 - for Dad/Guy

I wanted something fun and spunky for my DH for Fathers Day - I don't know if this is it - but you can't get more guy than this card. This is from the Indie Solutions. I loved this Cart - but could never think of anything "practical" to make of these images.

MPS - Challenge 4 - I like you least

I received the Sports Mania Cart - and I think I have used it once. I hope to use it more as my kids get older - but - I could never think of anything fun to do.

I really liked how this one came out - and it only took about a minute to make - got to love that!!!!

Challenge #3 - MPS - Outside of the box

OK - I have the cricut markers and never use them. And I have all these googly eye's that I never use. And I always forget to use the layers on most everything - so this was a little out of the norm for me.

:( And I am going to have to take a break from the challenges - I am happy that I was able to get at least three done. I have three kids under 4 and we have a wedding - I should probably get ready vs. typing and crafting!

MPS 2nd Challenge - Scraps

Here is my next - all of my scraps. I started challenge #3 at the same time - I used both with just scraps. The Elephant was from New Arrivals.

MPS 1st Challenge

My First challenge!

I made this card with my grandmother in mind. It will be sent to her for mothers day. I like to think of her as well. So I send her a grandmothers day card. She is also a great grandmother - and within the past month she is a great - great grandmother!

I love the way it turned out - very old fashion - with a slight modern twist to it.

I can't tell you the paper I used - everything I got came from Joann's. I used Forever Young Cart for the frame, silo and the tag. I believe the letters were from George.
